Foursomes game is also called alternate shot. This game is a way for four people to play together in the game of golf.
The four players teams in pairs. Each partner of one pair will alternate the shots. As they take turns, the game follows as usual with the lesser shots the better. They also alternate the order to start each hole.
In this kind of game, any penalty strokes do not change which of the partner has to play the following stroke.
Foursomes game is the rule 22, from the other type of games section. It is different from four ball game.
